Work Experience and Personal Projects

• (2008 - now) JavaScript InfoVis Toolkit:
  The JavaScript Infovis Toolkit provides tools for creating Interactive Data Visualizations for the Web. This Toolkit implements advanced features of information visualization like TreeMaps, an adapted visualization of trees based on the SpaceTree, a focus+context technique to plot Hyperbolic Trees, a radial layout of trees with advanced animations (RGraph) and other visualizations. • (April 2010 - now) Labs R&D Engineer at Exalead (France):
  At Exalead Labs I create advanced visualizations of data indexed by Exalead products.
• (February 2008 - April 2010) Software Engineer at Exalead (France):
  At Exalead I'm in charge of the Merchandising module. The Merchandising module is a rule-based recommendation system and query re-writer that generates complex queries based on complete or partial matches of search results. This application is being developed in Java, Groovy and GWT.
  For the newest Exalead Enterprise Platform, I've been in charge of client/server side development of Administration Interfaces and Dashboards mainly written in Java and GWT for the client side.
• (2009) V8-GL:
  V8-GL is a JavaScript Toolkit for creating Desktop Hardware Accelerated Graphics with JS. V8-GL provides OpenGL 2.1+, OpenGL ES 2.0 and GLUT bindings to JavaScript by using Google's V8 JavaScript Engine. This project is in current development but is already functional and some examples can be seen here.

• (2008) Particle Visualization Framework:
  I created a small particle visualization framework in OCaml/OpenGL for visualizing Radiohead's HoC music video data. The program loads CSV files for each frame, renders the data in OpenGL and then saves the rendered data in BMP or JPEG images. Advanced camera movement and particle transformations can be applied via a static timeline object programmatically. You can see some tutorials and a proof of concept here.
• (June - December 2006) - Developer at Netlabs S.A. (Argentina):
  Developer and chief architect of web applications mainly programmed in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (AJAX), XML, XSL, PHP 4.0/5.0 and Oracle and MySQL databases. During my work at Netlabs I designed and developed a dual intranet that mantains two sites of an ISP in Argentina. I also designed and developed a CRUD code generator, which generates PHP and PL/SQL code of CRUDs made for each table in the database.

Extracurricular Activities

• (2004) Advanced Calculus Course:
  I took an Advanced Calculus course at ITBA university. The course involved subjects such as topological properties of the real line, metric spaces, cardinals and ordinals, Lesbesgue Measure and the Lebesgue Integral. This course belongs to the Computer Science Ph.D curriculum at ITBA.
